How the Life Score works
One number from 0 to 100, built live from six things you already do.
The Life Score is the number your twin reads from. It runs from 0 to 100, it is built live out of six categories, and it moves the moment you log something. Tap the ring and it breaks down exactly what moved it and why — there is no hidden weighting you have to take on faith.
The six categories
Every one of these is something you were already doing or not doing. The score is a reading, not a new chore.
- Nutrition — what you ate against targets generated from your own numbers, goals and pace.
- Training — sessions done against the week you set yourself.
- Recovery — the quieter side: rest days, water, how hard the last few sessions were.
- Sleep — hours, from Apple Health or entered by hand.
- Mood — a one-tap check-in, because how the week felt is data too.
- Consistency — whether you keep showing up, which is the one that compounds.
Each has its own bar, so a strong week in the gym and a rough week of sleep do not average into a shrug. You can see which one is carrying you and which one is quietly costing you.
What the colours mean
Colour means the same thing everywhere in the app: green is on track, amber is middling, red is over or off. Not "red is bad about you" — red is a category that is off its own target today, and it goes green again the day it is not.
One formula for everybody
The same formula runs for every player. Standards and targets are calibrated by sex only in the places where physiology genuinely differs, and nowhere else. There is no adjustment for how long you have played, no difficulty setting, and nothing you can buy that moves it.
Why it is a score and not a grade
A grade is something handed down about you. A score is a reading of a day, and days are allowed to be bad. That distinction shows up in three deliberate design choices.
- It resets. Today's score is today's. A rough Monday does not sit on top of Tuesday.
- It is private. Nobody can see your score, and there is nothing to climb — no ranked list of other people exists in the app.
- It never scolds. A low score changes your twin's mood, not its dignity, and the wording never comments on your body.
Your score history charts on the Progress tab alongside the other trends, so the useful question — is this month better than last month — is one you can actually answer.
What it is not
The Life Score is a game mechanic. It is not an assessment of your health, it is not a measure of how well you are doing as a person, and it does not replace a qualified professional on anything that matters. It is a way to see a week clearly, in one number, and to notice sooner when the week is drifting.
Next: what the twin does with that number, and where it points twenty years out.
