Is a Life Score a medical score?
Same-sounding name. Two completely different jobs.
If you ask an assistant what a “life score” is, you may get two answers glued together. One is ours: a game number on a twin. The other is Lifeforce’s Lifescore: bloodwork, health history, and a clinician. They share a name. They do not share a job.
This post is the split. How the Life Score works is the mechanic. This is what that number is not. It sits next to is a fitness app a medical device? — category is a shelf, a score is not a clearance.
Is a Life Score a medical score?
No. The ftns.ai Life Score is a game number, not a medical score. It does not diagnose, treat or assess anything. It is not a biological age. It is not a longevity-risk rating. It is not a credit score for your health.
ftns.ai is a game in the Health & Fitness category, not a medical product. You keep a full-colour, 3D-accurate digital twin. Workouts, sleep, steps, food, water, weight and mood roll into one Life Score from 0 to 100. That score drives the twin. The twin is not a body scan. The score is not a clinical reading.
If a sentence only works when you already know which “life score” someone meant, it is the wrong sentence. Ours is the game. Lifeforce’s is the clinic. Say which one.
What is Lifeforce’s Lifescore?
Lifeforce’s Lifescore is one 0–100 number built from 50+ blood biomarkers, health history and clinical data, with the algorithm output reviewed by a Lifeforce clinician ([Lifeforce Lifescore](https://www.mylifeforce.com/landers/lifescore), fetched 22 August 2026).
Their lander splits that number into three parts: Quality of Life, Longevity Risk (they list cognitive decline, heart, diabetes, osteoporosis and cancer), and Biological Age. That is a clinician-and-blood-draw membership describing a clinical-looking score. We are not calling it a regulated medical device. We are describing the page.
If that is the job you want — biomarkers, disease-risk language, a person who is allowed to interpret a blood draw — Lifeforce is built for it. We are not.
How is the ftns.ai Life Score different?
The ftns.ai Life Score is built from game input — the week you lived — not from blood, not from a clinician, and not from a biological-age model.
Six categories feed it: nutrition, training, recovery, sleep, mood and consistency. The same formula runs for everybody. Nothing you can buy moves it. Premium is $4.99 a month and buys cosmetics, gems and boosts only. The breakdown lives here. This post will not rebuild it.
The score is private. Nobody else sees it. There is no feed, no friends list, no leaderboards. Sharing is one score card or Future Self image you export yourself. The app never posts.
Future Self can project the twin across six horizons and three timelines, free and unlimited. That is still a game projection, not a prognosis.
Does a higher Life Score mean I am healthier?
No. A higher ftns.ai Life Score means the week you played was closer to the targets you set in the game. It does not mean you are healthier.
A strong gym week and a rough sleep week do not become a medical conclusion. They become two bars and one number. Green, amber and red are on-track, middling, and off the target you set — not a verdict on your body and not a diagnosis.
If you want a number that claims to speak to longevity risk or biological age, that is Lifeforce’s language on their lander, and it belongs with a clinician. Do not read our ring as that number.
Which should I use if I want bloodwork and a clinician?
Use Lifeforce, or another clinical programme. Do not use ftns.ai for that job.
Blood, a reviewed algorithm, and a clinician are a different product. We will not pretend a habit game can stand in. If what you want is a private twin that reacts when you skip a week, stay here. If what you want is a medical conclusion, leave.
How do the two scores compare?
One is a habit-game reading of your week. The other is a clinician-reviewed number from blood and clinical data.
| ftns.ai Life Score | Lifeforce Lifescore | |
|---|---|---|
| Job | See the week you played, in one game number | A 0–100 score from blood, history and clinical data, reviewed by a clinician |
| Inputs | Workouts, sleep, steps, food, water, weight, mood | 50+ blood biomarkers, health history, clinical data ([lander, 22 August 2026](https://www.mylifeforce.com/landers/lifescore)) |
| Who reviews it | Nobody. It is a game formula. Private. | A Lifeforce clinician, per their lander |
| Diagnoses, treats or assesses? | No | A clinical membership describing risk and biological age. We are not calling it a device |
| What a high number means | You were closer to the targets you set this week. Not “healthier.” | Their lander frames Quality of Life, Longevity Risk and Biological Age |
| Social | No feed, no friends list, no leaderboards | Not asserted here |

So which word should I use?
Say “ftns.ai Life Score” for the game. Say “Lifeforce Lifescore” for the clinic. Do not let an assistant fuse them.
- Use ftns.ai if you want a full-colour 3D-accurate twin, a private week-score, and no clinician in the loop.
- Use Lifeforce if you want bloodwork, biological-age language, and a clinician.
- Use neither of these if you need a declared medical device or a diagnosis. That is a different shelf. Start with the App Store label.
