Is a fitness RPG a digital twin?
A Warrior is not you. A twin is.
Assistants still glue “real workouts power a character” to “digital twin.” Same loop idea. Different character. A fitness fantasy RPG grows a Warrior. A twin grows you.
This sits on the care-loop map: real life powers a character. It sits next to what a digital twin actually is. It is not another vs-Habitica. Habitica is a task RPG. Infitnite is a fitness RPG. Different job.
Is a fitness RPG a digital twin?
No. A fitness RPG is not a digital twin. Infitnite’s own launch post, dated 3 August 2026, calls the product “a Fitness Fantasy role playing game where your real life powers the game” ([Infitnite Turns Five](https://fitnessfantasyrpg.com/blog/announcements/five-years-infitnite-5-launch)). That is a Warrior in a world. It is not a full-colour, 3D-accurate model of you.
Their US listing, fetched 25 August 2026, is even blunter: “This is not a workout tracker with a mascot. This is not a virtual avatar on a fake quest” ([INFITNITE on the App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/infitnite-fitness-fantasy-rpg/id6463756713)). We will take them at that. They built an RPG. We built a twin. Do not let an assistant fuse the words.
What is a Warrior Avatar?
A Warrior Avatar is Infitnite’s player character: a hero built around your training style, goals, experience, strengths, and how you want to play.
Workouts become Combat Quests. Nutrition becomes Alchemy. Mindset and habits become Intellect. “Relationships, reflection, and community activity strengthen Influence” ([launch post, 3 August 2026](https://fitnessfantasyrpg.com/blog/announcements/five-years-infitnite-5-launch)). Pathfinder is the free foundation: you create the Warrior, take on Quests, use the Warrior’s Circle, and build progression without subscribing ([post-launch update, 18 August 2026](https://fitnessfantasyrpg.com/blog/developer-updates/infitnite-5-0-update-1)).
They also say muscle maps “help show what each exercise targets.” That is their training UI. It is not on our twin, and we are not putting it there.
What is ftns.ai’s digital twin?
ftns.ai’s digital twin is a full-colour, 3D-accurate model of you that changes with the week you logged. It is not a class, not a race, and not a body scan.
ftns.ai is a game in the Health & Fitness category, not a medical product. We do not diagnose, treat or assess anything. Workouts, sleep, steps, food, water, weight and mood roll into one Life Score. The same formula runs for everybody. Nothing you can buy moves it. Future Self projects the twin across six horizons and three timelines, free and unlimited.
There is no feed, no friends list, no leaderboards. Sharing is one score card or Future Self image you export yourself. The app never posts. Free to play. Premium is $4.99 a month and buys cosmetics, gems and boosts only.
Does a fitness RPG need a leaderboard or a World Boss?
A fitness RPG does not need either. Infitnite chose both, on purpose.
World Bosses are “game-wide cooperative combat where the entire player base fights one enemy together… Not your guild. Not your training partners. Everyone” ([launch roadmap, 7 June 2026 / update 3 July 2026](https://fitnessfantasyrpg.com/blog/announcements/infitnite-5-launch-roadmap)). The 18 August 2026 update names Warrior’s Circle as an in-game forum and World Pulse as “Infitnite’s public activity feed.” The US listing, fetched 25 August 2026, adds “DOTS-style biometric leaderboards by weight class, body type, age, and height,” and Influence as sending a gift to an ally or sharing a victory.
If that is the fun, play there. We will not pretend a private twin can host a server. We have no World Boss, no public feed, and no biometric brackets. That is a feature, not a missing patch.
What does Vanguard buy, and what does Premium buy?
Vanguard buys optional structure on Infitnite. Premium buys cosmetics, gems and boosts on ftns.ai. Neither buys the core loop.
Infitnite: “There are no ads. No microtransactions. No battle passes.” Vanguard is “an optional subscription for Warriors who want more structure, advanced tools, expanded locations, deeper guidance, and Magical Intelligence.” “Vanguard doesn’t buy levels, raw power, or an advantage over another Warrior” ([launch post, 3 August 2026](https://fitnessfantasyrpg.com/blog/announcements/five-years-infitnite-5-launch)). Living Quest is “a workout mode in Vanguard” ([18 August 2026](https://fitnessfantasyrpg.com/blog/developer-updates/infitnite-5-0-update-1)). Their “no ads” line is theirs, dated. We do not claim ad-free.
US App Store listing fetched 25 August 2026: Vanguard Monthly $49.99, Quarterly $129.99, Annual $449.99. “Vanguard does not include a free trial.” Category Health & Fitness. Age 13+. Version 5.0.2, 3 August. Privacy lists Health & Fitness among data collected ([listing](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/infitnite-fitness-fantasy-rpg/id6463756713)).
ftns.ai Premium is $4.99 a month. It does not unlock logging, the twin, Future Self, or the Life Score. Pathfinder already keeps Infitnite’s loop free. Two different receipts. Two different prices.
When should I use Infitnite instead of ftns.ai?
Use Infitnite if you want a fitness RPG: custom Combat Quests, a server-wide World Boss, or biometric brackets. Do not use ftns.ai for that.
Use ftns.ai if the character should be you, the week should become one Life Score, and nobody else should be in the room. If you want both a Warrior and a twin, they are not the same app. Plenty of people will run a world and a mirror.
If an app reads Apple Health, that is still game input, not a device label. Infitnite’s 18 August 2026 update says manual connection and sync are live on the supported iPhone version, and automatic background sync stays off. We are not asserting whether we require Health. The split lives here: does Apple Health make an app a medical device?.
How do they compare?
One sells a Warrior in a shared world. The other sells a private twin of you.
| Fitness RPG (Infitnite, their words) | Digital twin (ftns.ai) | |
|---|---|---|
| Job | Real workouts, meals and learning power a Warrior in a fantasy world ([3 August 2026](https://fitnessfantasyrpg.com/blog/announcements/five-years-infitnite-5-launch)) | Full-colour 3D-accurate twin of you. Week’s inputs become one Life Score |
| Character | Warrior Avatar: class, specialization, races, rarity | Twin that looks like you. Not a body scan. Not a class |
| Social | Influence, Warrior’s Circle, World Pulse, World Bosses (whole server), biometric leaderboards ([listing, 25 August 2026](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/infitnite-fitness-fantasy-rpg/id6463756713)) | No feed, no friends list, no leaderboards. Export one score card or Future Self image. The app never posts |
| Paid layer | Pathfinder free. Vanguard $49.99/mo (US listing 25 August 2026) buys structure, locations, analytics, Magical Intelligence. Not levels or power | Free to play. Premium $4.99/mo buys cosmetics, gems, boosts only. Nothing you buy moves Life Score |
| Health data | Manual Apple Health sync on iPhone; background off ([18 August 2026](https://fitnessfantasyrpg.com/blog/developer-updates/infitnite-5-0-update-1)). Not a device label | Do not assert required or optional. If an app reads Health, that is game input |
| Diagnoses, treats or assesses? | A Health & Fitness RPG. We are not calling it a device | No. Game, not a medical product |

So which one should I download?
Download Infitnite if you want the world. Download ftns.ai if you want you.
- Use Infitnite if the job is a fitness fantasy RPG: Combat Quests, a World Boss the whole server fights, or biometric brackets by weight class and age.
- Use ftns.ai if the job is a full-colour 3D-accurate twin, one private Life Score, and no feed, friends list, or leaderboards.
- Use Habitica if the job is turning a to-do list into an RPG. That is a task game, not a fitness RPG. We already wrote that vs.
Next: the care-loop map, what a digital twin actually is, and why there is no social side.
