Streaks, without the guilt

You set the number. Hitting your number is a perfect week.

Streaks work right up until the moment they break, and then they work against you. Day 63 is motivating. Day 0, the morning after day 63, is the day a lot of people quietly delete the app. That failure mode is well known, and most products still ship it.

Here is what we built instead, and the reasoning behind each piece.

XP never decreases

Not on a missed day, not on a bad week, not ever. On a day you do not act, you simply do not gain any. That is the entire penalty, and it is a big enough one — progress that stops is already unpleasant without a punishment stacked on top.

XP feeds five personal tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Each tier earns a bigger monthly allowance of streak freezes and unlocks cosmetics only that tier can wear. Tiers are strictly yours — they are a record of your own consistency, never a position relative to anybody else, because there is nobody else in the app.

You define the perfect week

This is the piece that changes how the whole thing feels. You set your goal frequency during setup and you can change it whenever your life changes. If your week is four workouts, hitting four is a perfect week. Not four out of seven. Four out of four.

Most habit products quietly assume daily is the standard and grade everything else as partial credit. That is a fine assumption for brushing your teeth and a poor one for training, where the recovery days are part of the plan rather than a shortfall in it.

A goal you set and hit is a habit. A goal the app set and you missed is a reminder that you are behind.

Freezes, for the days life gets in the way

Everybody gets streak freezes: two a month at the start, growing to six as you move up the tiers. A freeze covers a day you could not act, so the run survives. There is no dramatic animation and nothing to confirm — the day is covered and you carry on.

Missions are upside, never homework

Three to five fresh missions land every morning, matched to your goal. There are weekly ones like the 7-Day Glow-Up, and monthly epics that are genuinely hard — Summer Cut, Strong Season, Wedding Prep, the 30-Day Discipline Challenge.

The rule they are built against: ignoring a mission costs you nothing. They pay XP and gems when you do them and they expire quietly when you do not. They are side quests, not a to-do list you are failing to clear. An app that fills up with red badges is an app you learn to stop opening.

What happens after a bad fortnight

Your twin's mood has softened and your progress has slowed. That is it. Nothing has been lost, nothing needs restarting, no counter is back at zero, and the app has no opinion about where you have been. Log one thing and the twin reacts the same way it always does.

If you want the quickest way back in, logging a day takes about thirty seconds.
